Phuentsholing, nestled in the southern reaches of Bhutan, emerges as a vital border town and holds the distinguished role of being the administrative heart (dzongkhag thromde) of Chukha District.

PLACES TO VISIT IN PHUNTSHOLING
Situated at the centre of Phuentsholing town, ZangtoPelri is a Buddhist built in 1990. It houses the eight life-size manifestation idols of Guru Rinpoche.
Also known as Karbandi Goemba, it is situated 400m above an astonishing valley surrounded by coniferous trees. Built by Ashi Phuntsho Choedron, the Royal Grandmother in 1967. the Monastery offers a breathtaking view of Phuentsholing town.
The crocodile breeding centre was established in 1976 with an aim to increase the number of different species of crocodiles and alligators.
Milarepa is considered as one of Tibet’s most famous yogis and spiritual poets, whose teachings are known among several schools of Tibetan Buddhism. A monastery has been built in honor of hima shining example of the virtues of renunciation, diligent practice and devotion to his guru.
